This past week my grandfather passed away. His funeral service was this weekend. He lived a long and full life. I think he even continued to work up until this past summer. At the service I learned things I did not know of him and was reminded of many blessings. He was married for 64 years to my grandmother. They have 12 children (11 spouses); 29 grandchildren (15 spouses); 28 great grandchildren (2 on the way). What a legacy! He is the first to pass away in the family. He loved the Lord and was not ashamed to share it with anyone. We take comfort in knowing that he is in Heaven no longer suffering and we will see him again. I can't imagine how someone would deal with the passing of a loved one without knowing the assurance of salvation thru Jesus Christ.
