Sick Days

Our family has been a bit under the weather with Sinus/Bronchitis. Last week Josiah stayed home the entire week from Daycare. He got to have a bit of bonding time with daddy. One day he completely wore himself out in the Jumperoo.

HEALTH UPDATE ON THE BOYS

Josiah
Last week we had his 6 month check up and he is meeting all the milestones. He is average height & weight. 17 lbs, 26 inches. We have not seen any side effects/damage from his time in the hospital. He will take Acyclovir for his first year to prevent any flair ups of the HSV-1. He was also approved for the shots which help prevent RSV. They apparently are working cause his case of Bronchitis was very mild. We did however have a couple spots appear on his bottom that looked suspicious. We took him in but his normal doc was on vacation. The attending doctor did not say one way or another if it was HSV-1 or diaper rash? I think it might have been a combination. Since he is already taking Acyclovir he did not prescribe anything else. We are also treating with a topical cream. Things are already clearing up. In December we also had an MRI done to and that showed there were no signs of damage done during his hospitalization. YEAH GOD!!!

Noah
Since birth we have battled ear infections with Noah. This season the doctor decided to put him on a low dose of Amoxicilin for the season. We just finished those and were ear infection free! He thing proceeded to get the junk going around. We took him in to get checked just to make sure the drainage, etc was not effecting his ears. We got an alls clear report. YEAH GOD!!!
